Dedicated emergency contraceptive pills (ECPs) are registered in six Arab countries as well as Israel, but little is known about the awareness, use, or acceptability of emergency contraception (EC) in the region. This study assessed Palestinian pharmacists’ knowledge of and attitudes toward EC. Through interviews with retail pharmacists in eight West Bank cities and East Jerusalem, this project explored general EC knowledge, ECP availability, and provision patterns in Palestine. In collaboration with local partners, we hope to leverage the results of this study to help build the case for expanding EC access in Palestine.
