Katie is a Senior Associate Research Scientist at Ibis. Her research focuses on expanding access to contraception and safe abortion care across diverse settings and contexts using community-engaged approaches that center and uplift communities and experiences that are often understudied or excluded from research. Katie is currently involved in studies that examine and measure people’s experiences with medication abortion, as well as research documenting the sexual and reproductive health experiences of transgender and gender-expansive individuals in the U.S. Katie received her undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology and Spanish from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University School of Public Health.
