Bria Goode serves as the Senior Policy, Advocacy, and Research Manager at Ibis. She supports policy and advocacy efforts on the Free the Pill Campaign while also managing quantitative and qualitative projects focused on expanding reproductive health access, knowledge, and support. On Free the Pill, Bria collaboratively works with coalition members, state partners, and federal partners to advance over-the-counter (OTC) birth control coverage, access, and implementation. Through research, she analyzes the impact that community, policies, and non-medical abortion support has on the quality of abortion care, specifically amongst marginalized communities and within restrictive political contexts.
Prior to her work at Ibis, Bria evaluated birth defects research as a Public Health Epidemiology Assistant and Data Analyst Consultant at The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Birth Defects and Infant Disorders. She also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at SisterLove, Inc., where she studied the perceived barriers and facilitators to medication abortion for Black and Latinx women in Georgia. Beyond her research experience, Bria has worked to increase sexual and reproductive health education in the community as a Program Consultant for Planned Parenthood in Washington, D.C. and as a Sexual Health Peer Educator at the University of Maryland College Park. Bria holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science from the University of Maryland College Park.
