As a member of the Senior Managment Team, Amelia leads Ibis’s efforts to ensure progress toward strategic goals and objectives and supports organizational transformation. Amelia has over 25 years of experience advancing the rights of women and girls, working within a variety of international nonprofit organizations including Global Fund for Women, Room to Read, the Asia Foundation, and Give2Asia. She has held a variety of both programmatic and development roles with responsibility for operations, management, strategy, and leadership. Her areas of expertise include human rights, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, and economic justice. She is currently a member of the board of directors of Women Cross DMZ and was previously on the board of Gender at Work. Prior to joining Ibis, Amelia served as the Senior Director of Operations and Partnerships at Global Fund for Women. Amelia graduated with a masters in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where she focused on international development and political economy, as well as a bachelor of arts in economics from Cornell University.
