Allie is a Research Scientist at Ibis. She is a social and behavioral scientist who examines the quality of and access to sexual and reproductive health services and the effects of social, economic, and policy barriers on people’s ability to exercise their reproductive autonomy. Allie leads work on social norms and stigma in abortion care and the intersections with quality of care and social movements. Allie conducts research on novel forms of contraceptive and abortion care access including over-the-counter access to oral contraceptive pills, pharmacist prescribing of hormonal contraception and medication abortion, telehealth models, abortion accompaniment. She also examines the consequences of policies and programs on sexual and reproductive health outcomes. Previously, she was a research fellow at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. Allie holds a Doctorate Degree in Community Health Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles, a Master in Public Health degree from the University of Washington in Global Health with a concentration in Health Metrics and Evaluation, and a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in Community Health and International Relations.
