AMAZE takes the awkward out of comprehensive sexuality education, using the expertise of sexuality educators, the creativity of animation professionals, and input from youth advisors to create and share free animated sexuality education resources. AMAZE Africa seeks to meet the urgent needs of young people, their parents, and educators in Sub-Saharan Africa by providing scientifically accurate and age-appropriate, comprehensive sexuality education resources.
Ibis Reproductive Health South Africa has partnered with Advocates For Youth (AFY) as the Sub-Saharan regional lead for AMAZE Africa to amplify continuous efforts to make comprehensive sexuality education resources more accessible through the use of digital platforms, traditional media, and creating platforms of community with regional partners across the continent.
The project is supported by nine AMAZE Youth Ambassadors from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, who provide strategic support to the creation and adaptation of AMAZE videos, the topical issues to be covered, and the dissemination thereof.
